Bias was up, no clean zone, took it anyway

Why I took it

There wasn't a clear supply or demand here. I just felt like we were going up after the London open sweep of the lows, so I took the long at 1.17354 with the stop under the sweep low.

How it went

It went to almost breakeven a couple of times without stopping me out, so I decided to just get out in the green. The move did continue higher after I closed.

Sold the 50 percent retracement in Frankfurt

Why I took it

Big markdown the day before, so I came in bearish. Price retraced about 50 percent of the drop during Frankfurt and I sold it there at 1.17289, stop above the retracement high.

How it went

This one worked out pretty clean. Covered at 1.17135 into the equal lows for 15 pips, and it kept running lower after I was out.

Bearish bias, took it off the early inducement

Why I took it

Came in bearish again after the overnight markdown. There wasn't a clear break of structure yet, but I saw the initial inducement before and took the short at 1.17483, targeting the equal lows at 1.1733.

How it went

It chopped for about five hours through London and New York, so I paid myself flat at +1.6 pips just to be out. The lows got taken about an hour and a half after I closed. It ended up working out, just without me in it.

Read Frankfurt as manipulation, sold into London

Why I took it

There wasn't a clear direction this day. Asia was going down and I read the Frankfurt push up as manipulation, so I was bearish and sold at 1.33912 with a tight stop above.

How it went

Price kept going against me and stopped me out to the pip. It did eventually drop to almost 1 to 2R, but honestly, even with that, it still wouldn't have been a correct trade.

New York session, thought gold was breaking lower

Why I took it

New York session. I thought we were breaking lower, so I sold at 4331 with the stop at 4338.

How it went

It just didn't work out. The squeeze up took my stop, and gold did end up breaking lower later in the day, but I was already out.

After the break of structure, looking for the key demand below

Why I took it

We'd had the break of structure and I thought we were dropping lower, down to the key demand. I sold at 1.33971 with a 5 pip stop.

How it went

Didn't happen. It squeezed one more time and clipped my stop with slippage inside six minutes.

Tapping into supply after New York, got stopped, then it went

Why I took it

This was after the New York open. I thought we were tapping into the supply and going lower, so I sold the retest at 1.3402.

How it went

Got stopped out again, and eventually it did end up going there. Honestly not sure what to make of this one.

New York reversal off the old imbalance, undersized

Why I took it

I was thinking this would be a New York reversal. I saw price tapping into the imbalance from before and thought that was the right place to take the trade, so I sold at 4062.3 with the stop above the sweep.

How it went

Worked out well, covered at 4056.6 seven minutes later for just over 1R. The one thing I got wrong was sizing, I didn't size it right, so the result was smaller than the trade deserved.
